“Little Johnny Jumblering
Why do you go to see the King?”
Johnny said “the King is sad today”
I’ve come to let him hear me play
I’ll play this magic flute for awhile
And this indeed will make him smile"
The villagers were filled with hope
For Johnny Jumblering to play some notes
You see they could only be happy when
The king was made to smile again
So Johnny stood before the King
He did not dance, he did not sing
Instead he played his flute out loud
He made the kingdom dwellers proud
And as he played his flute with grace
As smile was seen on the good King’s face
The village people danced and swayed
As the magic flute was played.
He filled the villagers with glee
The King was smiling for all to see
And when he was done, he tipped his cap
Then turned to leave as the villagers clapped
The King jumped up and from his throne
Proclaimed that Johnny’s name be known
Throughout the land, from near to far
Little Johnny Jumblering became a star
“Little Johnny Jumblering how do you do?
How do you have a magic flute?”
“It’s not the flute” Johnny did say
“It’s my love for the music that I play”
You have some magic in you too
It’s all in the love for the things you do
And so with nothing more to say
Little Johnny Jumblering turned away
And when you're sad, if you listen real close
You can hear in the distance, the softest notes
And all around people will say
That's Little Johnny Jumblering come to play
